Dark Places Require Light

To me, having a good sense of humor generally comes from a dark place. It’s not so much self-pity as it is being able to laugh in the face of intense adversity. This is necessary in order to fully enjoy living.

So when someone implies that I’m not “serious”, actually I couldn’t be more so.
