Gun Control: A Minimalist Resolution

Gun Control: A Minimalist Resolution

In regards to recent opinions being thrown back & forth about guns, I figure I’d throw my hat in the ring. My take is that if someone passes the proper background check & spends the money, I have no problem with the general ownership of firearms. But the means by which people are tested to prove responsibility must be totally unbiased & across the board regardless of ethnicity & class status. People tend to forget that the 2nd amendment is just that…an “amendment!” No more double standards! If it can’t be enforced for all citizens, throw it out altogether.

While I personally am not what you may call a gun enthusiast, I do admit that I feel some form of working knowledge of guns is a good thing to have if not a must. I just wish that people who buy guns would stop giving that fake “protection” answer when they’re asked about them. While it may not sound like the most sound answer I really find no fault with someone just saying, “I like guns.”

That’s why they buy gun magazines, take gun courses & go to gun seminars. They like guns…period! After all, it’s called an ‘assault’ rifle for a reason. I haven’t seen any of these “protection” rifles.
