Waiting on my Boaz

While it is our mission at Single Girls Rock to redefine what it means to be single by embracing and celebrating it, we are by no means anti-relationship. We came across this 2:00 video of a sermon and thought it funny and poignant enough to share. We think it sums up why there’s a lot to be gained from being mindfully single.

The sermon focuses on the story of Ruth and Boaz, which is quite possibly one of the biggest love stories featured in the Bible. Boaz, a man of wealth and power, is prominently featured in the Book of Ruth. He was a man of wealth and power while Ruth was considered a lowly pagan who catches his eye.

If you haven’t read the Book of Ruth, I’d encourage you to do so. It’s only four chapters but there are so many lessons to be learned from it. Ruth carries herself in a manner that glorifies God. Her dedication to her former mother-in-law, her humility, and her relationship with God are the very traits that catch Boaz’s attention.

Ladies, be sure you are dating a Boaz and not one of his infamous relatives!
